About Zambia Correctional Service (ZCS)
The Zambia Correctional Service (ZCS) was before now known as Zambia Prisons Service. Its officially established to ensure humane custody and quality correctional services.
One of the fundamental functions of ZCS is to ensure the safety of inmates until they are lawfully discharged, also the service collaborates with relevant security agencies to promote justice while delivering educational campaigns within the correctional facility.

Requirements for Zambia Correctional Service Recruitment 2025
To be eligible for ZCS job application, you must meet the criteria below.
- Interested candidates must be a Zambian citizen.
- Candidate must have a valid Green National Registration Card (NRC).
- Only those with the age bracket of 18 – 25 years can apply.
- Candidate must be physically and mentally fit as shown on medical report from a government medical facility.
- Applicants with criminal record shall not be considered.
- Candidates applying must be willing to undergo military training and as such must not be single at the time of this recruitment.
- Both male and female applicants must not be less than 1.65m tall.
- Finishing secondary school education is of advantage.
- Candidate must be able to express self in both written and oral form.

Tips for Successful Application
- Ensure your application has the subject “Application for Employment as Recruit Warder or Wardress” on top of the sealed envelope containing your documents.
- The Zambia Correctional Service expects that all shortlisted candidates cater for their accommodation, meals and travel expenses to and from assigned interview venues.
- Applicants who successfully meet the requirements will be considered.

Zambia Correctional Service Jobs 2025 Application Deadline
The official closing date for Zambia Correctional Service recruitment is Tuesday, 25th October by 5:00pm. Candidates who fails to submit their application on or before the set deadline shall be disqualified.
Also note that interview for shortlisted candidates will hold from 31st October to 3rd November from 8.00am to 5.00pm daily at all Regional centers.
