National Council for Population and Development (NCPD) was founded in 1982, as a department in the Office of the Vice President and Ministry of home Affairs with the aim of advising on matters pertaining to population and development.
The vision of this body is to ensure a properly managed population for a prosperous Kenya, while the mission is to provide leadership in population policy management to improve overall being of citizens.

Director Research, Monitoring and Evaluation
Your primary responsibility is to monitor, evaluate, research, population centre of excellence and knowledge management at the council. Shall be directly reporting to the Director General.
Furthermore, your responsibility shall include coordinating the development, implementation and review of standards, guidelines and procedures for research, monitoring and evaluation.
To qualify for this position, here are the key criteria you must meet:
- Interested applicant must be a graduate of Masters and Bachelor’s degree in Population studies, Demography, Public Health, Sociology, Anthropology, Geography etc. From a recognized institution.
- Must have attended a leadership and management course certificate from an accredited institution.
- Must be a registered member of relevant professional body.
- Must have thorough understanding of national goals and how they relate to NCPD mission.
Eligibility Criteria for NCPD Recruitment 2025
- Applicant must be a citizen of Kenyan with valid National Identification Card or Passport.
- Must be residing in the country.
- Must be proficient in relevant computer applications.
- Must adhere to the requirements of chapter six (6) of Kenya constitution by possessing clearance certificates/documents from relevant bodies.
