Requirements for KEMRI Internship 2025
Applying for KEMRI internship is won’t a daunting task if you adhere to the following criteria.
- Have a degree in Bio-chemistry, Microbiology, Molecular Biology or other relevant discipline.
- Must be a Kenyan citizen.
- Applicant should have a good understanding of literature review.
- Should be used to basic microbial culture technique and epidemiology.
- You must also conversant with genome sequence technologies and applications.
- Candidates applying must provide a personal accident and medical insurance cover for the ne (1) year internship duration.
How much are KEMRI Intern Paid?
Candidates who are selected are entitled to a monthly stipend of Ksh. 25,000 and other incentives throughout the internship duration.

Applications for internship vacancies at Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) must be done on or before Tuesday, 25th February, 2025. Inability to corporate leads to disqualification.
Important Notice to all Applications:
- The Internship engagement WILL NOT offer employment after the completion of the program.
- A monthly stipend of Kes. 25,000/= and Kes. 15,000 for Bachelors and diploma holders
respectively will be given without any other benefits. - Interns will be expected to take up a personal accident cover and medical Insurance cover.
