Requirements for TVET Trainers Recruitment 2025
Irrespective of the institution or area of specialization, TVET recruitment requirements is segmented based on qualification such as Diploma, Degree and Higher National Diploma (HND) etc.

1. Mechanical Engineering (Production)
This very opening is for Degree or HND holders. To qualify:
- Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree of Higher National Diploma in either Mechanical Engineering or closely related field from an approved institution.
- Candidate must be a member of professional body related to this discipline.
- Applicant must be registered and licensed by TVET authority.
2. Electrical Engineering (Tele-communications)
Applicant of this role must have a Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering (Telecommunication) or any other related discipline.
- Certification must be from an approved tertiary institution in Kenya.
- Only those accredited and licensed by TVET authority can apply.
- Registration with relevant professional body is key.
3. Hair Dressing and Beauty Therapy
The salary scale for this position is between Ksh. 39,700 to Ksh. 52,960 excluding other benefits. To qualify, applicant must have;
- A Bachelor’s degree or HND in Hair Dressing and Beauty Therapy or Cosmetology. Post graduate Diploma or even Master’s would be an added advantage.
- Above certification must be from a recognized tertiary institution.
- Applicant must be a registered member of relevant professional body.
- Should be accredited and licensed by TVET authority or registrable by TVETA.

How to Apply for TVET Trainers Recruitment 2025
- Get started by visiting www.mygov.go.ke or www.publicservice.go.ke,
- Download the one (1) PSC 2 (revised 2016) application form,
- Attach copies of your academic and professional certificates, transcripts and other testimonials etc.
- Put the documents in a sealed envelope and submit directly to the institutions where the vacancies exist.
Understand that making submission of Public Service Commission (PSC) with regards to TVET trainers job is not accept. Providing false information or canvassing with the application form will lead to automatic disqualification.
Persons working under Governing Council, Board of Governors are as well encouraged to apply. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
TVET Trainers Job Application Deadline 2025
Interested candidates are to submit their application on or before 19th March 2025 by latest 5.00pm. Submission after this date won’t be accepted, applicants with specialized qualifications but without pedagogy/andragogy are eligible. The successful applicants in this category shall be required to acquire pedagogy/andragogy qualifications from a recognized Institution within two (2) years upon appointment.
