The Ministry of Gender Division officially commenced operations in Zambia as of 2012 with the responsibilities of ensuring gender equality, child development and well-being as well as other relevant functions.

Originally, it was known as Gender in Development Division, thereafter renamed as Ministry of Child Development, after the 2021 general election, the ministry was then renamed to what it is now, Ministry of Gender Division, operating under Office of the President.

Requirements for Zambia Ministry of Gender Division Recruitment 2025

There are certain criteria demanded for these jobs, first is the general requirements and second is the position based qualification.

General Requirements

• It is expected that applicants of this recruitment must have Government Issued Identity Card i.e. Passport of National ID.
• Should not be below the age of 18 years.
• Must have most minimal Examination Council of Zambia (ECZ) certificate with Grade 12.
• Applicant must be able to speak and write English language.
• Should possess good communication and interpersonal skills.

1. Project Coordinator

• Applicants of this position must have both Master’s and Bachelor degree in either Economics, Development Studies, Business Administration etc. from a qualified institution.
• Must have professional work experience of about eight (8) years in reputable organization including World Bank.
• Must have experience in Gender policy and programming, Social protection, GBV prevention and response.

2. Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist

• Candidates applying for this position must have either Diploma or Degree in relevant academic discipline from recognized institution.
• Applicant must have work experience relevant to this position for at least one (1) year.

3. Information and Communication Officer

• Candidate applying must have a Degree in either Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering etc. from a recognized Institution.
• Candidate must experience with computer packages such as CSS, Python, HTML or Java etc.
