Overview of Kazi Mtaani Program
Kazi Mtaani was officially introduced in 2020 as a measure to curb the effect of COVID-19 pandemic on the people especially the youths. The program continued until 2022 where it was suspended.
In 2025, the President of Kenya, William Ruto reintroduced the initiate through another program called Climate Workx aiming over 100,000 unemployed youths between the ages of 18 to 35 years.
The program as overseen by three (3) government authorities; Kura Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA), Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA), and National Government Administration Officers (NGAO) will take place in all 47 counties of the country.
Some of the key values, aims and goals of the 2025 Kazi Mtaani initiative are:

Which Stage is Kazi Mtaani Program?
Officially, the Kazi Mtaani program started with registration, where interested youths visited the online recruitment portal at www.crsp.go.ke to apply. This phase lasted for two (2) weeks – 3rd to 18th June 2025.
According to the recruitment process, the next phase would be shortlisting names of successful candidates i.e. those who match the key requirements stated. After that would be the verification process and then commencement of the program itself.
Currently, the Kazi Mtaani Program is in the shortlisting stage, successful applicants will receive an official SMS from the Deputy County Commission (DCC) office.

- Verification: You can verify your data and ensure you’re on track by simply visiting the official registration portal www.crsp.go.ke or www.crsp.e-granary.com, select verification and then enter your full name, ID number, M-Pesa registered mobile number, age and any other information you’d like to verify.
- Payment: Both general workers and supervisors are entitled to daily pay through M-Pesa after completing each 10-day shift. So, ensure you M-Pesa registered number is correct and active.
