About Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA)

The Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) has the primary goal of conserving & sustaining wildlife. Sequel to this, the authority currently boasts of 10 national parks, 12 wildlife reserves, 5 community wildlife management areas and 13 wildlife sanctuaries.

UWA draws tourist from all over the world to their parks in East Africa. You can also see the functions of the authority as exhibited in ecosystem management, wildlife resource protection, monitoring & research, animal problem management, and licensing for wildlife usage.

Requirements for UWA Recruitment 2025

Below are the key criteria applicants of the 2025 Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) recruitment must meet.

1. Senior Manager, Human Resource

As the leader in this department, you will be giving guidance and directions to ensure appropriate management of available human resource of the authority.

• Candidate applying must have a Masters’ and Bachelor’s degree either in Human Resource Management, Organization Psychology, Social Science, Social Work etc. from an accredited institution.
• Relevant professional qualifications are welcome.
• You’re expected to have a minimum of twelve (12) years’ experience in Human Resource practice.
• Good communication, interpersonal and leadership skills are pivotal.
• Proficiency in relevant computer application(s) is mandatory.

2. Senior Manager, Community Conservation

Coordination and execution of plans for Community conservation programs, licensing of private captive wildlife management centres etc. falls under this jurisdiction.

• Applicant must have a Master’s and first degree in Zoology, Botany, Veterinary Medicine etc. from an accredited university.
• A minimum of 12 years’ experience in the practice is required.

3. Manager, Procurement

You shall provide strategic leadership and supervision in the management of procurement. This includes providing technical support in the management of contracts.

• Applicant must be a registered and active member of CIPS.
• Must have a Masters and Bachelor’s degree in ether Procurement and Logistics Management, Procurement and Supply Chain management or Business Administration.
• Candidate must accumulate at least nine (9) years of working experience to qualify for this role.

4. Manager, Human Wildlife Conflict

You shall orchestrate and ensure execution of relevant plans, policies and strategies for human-wildlife conflict management.

• Applicant must have a Master’s and Bachelor degree in either Conflict resolution, Forestry, Zoology, Natural Resource Management, Wildlife Health and Management, Botany etc.
• A minimum of nine (9) years’ experience is required.

Uganda Wildlife Authority Recruitment Deadline
