The Government of Kenya seeks to curb unemployment through a programme called National Youth Opportunities Towards Advancement (NYOTA). This is open for young people who are passionate about entrepreneurship or apprenticeship.
It also seen as the transitioning from the Kenya Youth Employment Opportunities Project (KYEOP). There are several benefits of participating in this programme such as skill training, grants, certifications and access to the labour market.
Requirements to Become NYOTA Project Beneficiary
Been that this programme is strictly for youths, to qualify candidate applying must be between the ages of 18 – 35 years. Having a form 4 education or more is an advantage.
It’s a full time programme thus beneficiaries must be unemployed, you must be an indigene of the Kenya with valid National Identity Card or Passport.
Lastly but most importantly, you must submitted application on or before the set deadline. Here are the detailed steps to apply for NYOTA project.
