The Northern Corridor Authority is major a regional intern governmental institution with has six (6) states as members namely; Kenya, Uganda, Congo, Rwanda, Burundi and South Sudan. The essence of the authority is to enhance economic development through monitoring performance and transformation of the Northern route.

Vacancy of a Permanent secretary has emerged amongst others. The position is based on a three (3) year contract but its renewable only once due to the performance and executive of dedicated responsibilities.

As the permanent secretary, you will be reporting to the chairperson of the Executive Committee, you will supervise six (6) directors and service units and your office is resided at Mombasa, Kenya.

The responsibility of the permanent or executive secretary for the NCTTACA includes general operations, strategic planning, mobilization and organization of necessary resources to ensure accomplishment of the authority’s mandate.

Eligibility Criteria

Before you consider yourself qualify for NCTTCA recruitment vacancy, here are mandatory criteria you must meet.

• Candidates applying must be proficient in either English of French Language.
• He or she should be currently at least thirty five (35) and maximum fifty (55) years of age.
• Candidate must be a National of the Republic of South Sudan.

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies

To occupy this post, below are the requirements you must adhere to:

1. Permanent Secretary

• You should have a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in either Public Administration, Economics, Planning Management, Transport Policy & Planning, Business Administration etc.
• You should be knowledgeable of the Transport Sector, Regional integration, Public-Private partnerships (PPP) and Development planning.
• In total, you should be a combined fifteen (15) years of relevant work experience.
• Also, practical experience in Financial Management, Human Resource Management and Public Policy will as well be an advantage.
• Being a member of relevant professional body, ICT inclined, possess good decision making and sound judgment, creative in problem solving and ability to work with other are key competencies.

2. Deputy Director, Transport Policy and Planning

• Interested candidate must have a Master’s and Bachelor degree in Economics, Statistics, Transport Economics, Data Science etc. from accredited institution(s).
• Nothing less than ten (10) years of work experience is required for this job.
• Candidate must have good interpersonal , intercultural, analytical, communication and organizational skills.
• Applicant must be conversant with relevant computer packages like Microsoft Office, SPSS etc.
• Must be highly professional while upholding integrity and ethical conduct.
• Applicant must be proficient in French and English languages.
• Applicants above 45 years should not apply.
• Having a valid National Identity Card or Passport is mandatory.
• Female candidates interested can as well apply.
• This employment will last for four (4) years and renewable only twice.
