Eligibility Criteria for LSHSC Jobs 2025

To qualify for any of the above vacancies, below are the foundational criteria all applicants must meet.

• You must be a Nigerian citizen with valid means of identification like National Identity Card.
• You must not be below 18 years or above 35 years.
• Applicant must preferably reside in Lagos State.
• Must have at least five (5) credit pass in O’level be it WAEC, NECO or GCE or equivalent qualification.

Requirements and Qualifications Needed

Based on the position you wish to apply, here are the requirements and qualifications you must meet.

1. Consultants

• Applicants interested in this role must have a MBBS degree or equivalent from an accredited university.
• Must have current practicing license.
• Must be a member of Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or equivalent.
• Professional membership with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) is mandatory.
• Either Discharge or Exemption Certificate from NYSC is needed.

2. Medical and Dental Officers

• Persons going for this post must have either a MBBS or BDS degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized university/institution.
• License to practice and registration with MDCN is mandatory.
• NYSC exemption or discharge certificate is required.

3.  Medical Laboratory Scientist

• Applicants of this role must have a Degree in Medical Laboratory Science from an approved institution.
• He or she must be registered with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria and as well possess current license to practice.
• The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) discharge or exemption certificate shall be required.

4. Pharmacist

• A degree in Pharmacy (BPharm) or equivalent from a recognized university.
• Must have valid license to practice and registration with the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria.
• NYSC discharge or exemption.

4. Pharmacy Technician

• Applicants of this position must have a Pharmacy Technician Certificate from a recognized institution.
• Must be allowed to practice via valid license.
• He or she must be registered with the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria.

5. Nursing Officer      

Note that this covers for; General nursing, Midwifery, Perioperative, Accident & Emergency, Orthopedic, Nephrology, Pediatric, Ear – Nose – Throat, Intensive Care, Psychiatry, Ophthalmology, Anesthesia, Cardiothoracic, Burns and Plastic Nursing, Public Health Nursing, Occupational Health Nursing etc.

Candidates must possess the following requirements:

• Nursing certificate from an approved institution.
• Applicants with Bachelor of Nursing science (BNS) have an added advantage.
• Post Basic Nursing in any of the above specialty.  
• Must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigerian (NMCN) and as well possess a valid license to practice.
• NYSC discharge or exemption certificate is relevant.

6. Dietician/Nutritionist

• Applicants of this role must have a Bachelor’s degree in either Dietetics or Nutrition from accredited institution.
• Applicant must be a registered member of Institute of Dietetics of Nigeria and as well possess current license to practice.

7. Physiotherapist

Candidates interested in this role must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from an approved institution.
• Must be registered with the Physiotherapy Registration Board of Nigeria and possess valid practicing license.
