About KIPPRA Young Professionals Programme
The Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis (KIPPRA) in her quota to contribute to human and institutional capacities required for the formulation of medium and long-term strategic perspectives for national development seeks to train Young Professionals (YP) in relevant areas.
This areas are; Public Policy Process, Research Methods (Concepts, Data and Techniques), Governance structure, Research Ethics and Macroeconomic modeling etc.
Each beneficiary will be able to publish research outputs at the end of the training as the fundamental objective of KIPPRA Young Professional programme (KYPP) is to develop youths in public policy research.
Thus, offering them relevant job experience, expand their knowledge and build professional networks.
Below are the areas which the Young Professionals training programme will focus.
- Macroeconmics Department
- Productive Sector Department
- Social Sector Department
- Infrastructure and Economic Services Department
- Private Sector Development Department
- Governance Department
- Trade and Foreign Policy Department
- Partnerships Department
Requirements for KIPPRA Young Professionals Programme 2025
To qualify for this programme, here are the criteria you must meet;
- Applicant must be a citizen of Kenya with valid National Identity Card.
- He or she must not be more than thirty five (35) years old.
- Candidate must have Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in relevant academic discipline.
- Applicant must have good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Must be conversant with relevant computer literate like Statistical package (R. STATA, SPSS, E-Views).
- Candidate must be able to express self in both written and oral form.
- Only those currently residing in the country should apply.
- Additionally, clearance certificates from relevant institution like EACC, DCI, KRA, HELB, CRB etc. are required.
