Kenya Electricity Transmission Company Limited (KETRACO) is fully owned by the government. It was official founded on 2nd December 2008 under the Companies Act, Cap 486. Our basic duties includes planning, designing, constructing, owning, operating, and maintaining high-voltage electricity transmission grids and regional power interconnections.

Job Responsibility
As the Senior Manager, Transmission System Planning, you will be responsible for leading and guiding the development and execution of strategies for system studies, transmission planning, project development, and monitoring & evaluation. This is to facilitate the creation of a strong, reliable, efficient, and cost-effective power transmission system.
Requirements and Qualifications
To qualify for this role, KETRACO expects the candidate to have a Bachelor and Master’s degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering or related academic discipline.
He or she must be a registered Professional Engineer with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) and hold a valid practicing license.
Applicant must have a minimum of ten years of relevant work experience, with at least six years in a senior management role.
Additionally, candidate should be a Corporate Member of the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK) and have completed a leadership development program or training lasting at least four weeks from a recognized institution.
