Job Responsibilities
All revenue clerks shall be working under the Finance and Economic Planning department of Kericho County Public Service Board (PSB). Their responsibilities shall be as follows:
- Getting revenue from all designated avenues.
- Making a daily report for each collection.
- Checking and promoting cashless payment system.
- Highlight hazards or hindrances to smooth revenue collection.
- Conduct awareness programs to traders on the admissible mode of revenue collection.
- Seeing to the safe custody of the County revenue assets and records.
- Supervising and educating motorists on registration and payments of parking fees.
- Creating invoices to help traders make payments at County Finance Act.
- Maintaining good public relations by creating optimistic image of county government.
Requirements and Qualifications
To qualify for this job, applicant must a minimum of Mean grade C – (minus) in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE). Training and certification in relevant computer packages from a approved institution. Must have an acceptable means of identification like National ID or Passport. Should be aware and also meet the requirements of chapter 6 of Kenya constitution.
