The Bomet County Government is hiring ECDE teachers, medical officers, nurses, social workers and more for the 2025 recruitment exercise. In total, 454 vacancies has been advertised on the www.bomet.go.ke jobs portal.
General eligibility criteria for this job include being a Kenyan citizen, having a valid National Identity Card or Passport, must be at least 18 years of age, should currently be residing in the county and also adhere to the requirements of chapter six (6) of the constitution.

1. Assistant ECDE Teacher III
Bomet County government is recruiting qualified ECDE teachers for vacancies at Chepalungu, Bomet Central, Bomet East, Konoin, Sotik, etc.
Your functions shall include classroom teaching, assembling result, develop learning materials, and see to the safety of learners.
The qualifications and requirements for this position are as follows:
- A Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) training.
- At least D+ grade in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
- Certification in Early Childhood Development Education.
- Registration with the Teachers Service Commission.
2. Nurses
As a specialized nurse, whether Nephrology or Critical Care, your responsibilities shall include providing necessary care to patients in the clinics or units and also refer them appropriately.
To get appointed for this vacancy;
- You must have a Higher National Diploma in any of the specialized nursing mentioned above from an approved institution.
- You must be a registered member of either Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing, Kenya Registered Nursing, Kenya Registered Midwifery, Kenya Registered Nursing/midwifery or Kenya Registered Nursing/Mental Health and Psychiatry etc.
- Applicant must have certificate of registration and valid license from Nursing Council of Kenya.
3. Kenya Registered Community Health Nurse III
Seeing to the performance of nursing interventions and evaluation of patient’s outcome, render adequate medical care including Integrated Management of Childhood illnesses (IMCI) are your responsibilities.
- Candidates applying for this position must have a Diploma in either Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing, Kenya Registered Nursing, Kenya Registered Midwifery, Kenya Registered Nursing/midwifery or Kenya Registered Nursing/Mental Health and Psychiatry etc.
- Must be certificate and licensed by the Nursing Council of Kenya.
- Applicant must be a computer literate.
4. Medical Specialist
Your assignments will include carrying out general diagnosis and treatment of patient, ensure an updated health information system and as well executive health projects and programmes.
To qualify for this role:
- Interested candidates must have worked as an Assistant Director of Medical Service for not less than 3 years.
- Applicant of this role are expected to have a Master’s and Bachelor degree in Medicine and Surgery from a university accredited by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
- You must have a proof of registration and operational license from the Medical Practitioner and Dentists Board.
- Being a computer literate and attending a leadership development programme of not less than 6 weeks is a plus.
5. Medical Officer
Occupant of this position shall be responsible for carrying out medical and surgical procedures as well as diagnosing and treating emerging diseases.
The key requirements and qualifications for this position are as follows:
- Candidate applying must be proficient with relevant computer application skills.
- Must have a Medicine and Surgery bachelor’s degree from a school approved by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
- Candidate must have successfully finished at least a year internship.
- Operation and registration license from the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board is mandatory.

6. Principal Human Resource and Development Officer
To get this job:
- Applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related academic discipline.
- Certification must be from a recognized and approved institution.
- Applicant must be registered with Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM).
- Must have at least three (3) years’ work experience.
- Attended a management course for a minimum of 4 weeks.
Candidate must have skills in relevant computer applications.
7. ICT Officer I
Carrying out the installation, maintenance and general management of computer systems, verify and over the configuration of new ICT equipment etc. are your responsibilities.
- To qualify for this position, applicant must have a degree in either ICT, Soft Engineering or relevant academic discipline.
- Qualification must be certified from an approved higher institution.
- Been a member of relevant professional body is an added advantage.
