Requirements for OCOB Recruitment 2025

1. Director Planning, Research and Knowledge Management

As the director planning, you shall in-charge of the entire coordination of management functions like developing, executing and reviewing of policies.

  • To get employed for this position, candidate must have Bachelor’s degree in either Statistics, Public Administration, International Relations etc. from an approved university.
  • Candidates with a Master’s degree in any of these discipline can as well apply.
  • He or she must be an active member of relevant professional body.
  • Understanding and adhering to the requirements of Chapter six (6) of Kenya constitution is mandatory.
  • Applicant must also be a computer literate.

2. Chief Manager, Planning, Research and Knowledge Management

This officer shall ensure effective strategies in planning as well as resource mobilization to ensure realization of set goals.

Educational Qualification: Applicant of this position must have a Bachelor and Master’s degree in either Policy Management, Business Administration, Monitoring and Evaluation, Quantity Surveying etc.

Professional Qualification: Applicant must be a proper standing with relevant professional body (ies).

Experience: Reasonably, a minimum of fifteen (15) years experience is required for this position.

Skills: Candidate must be a computer literate, understand the requirements of chapter six (6) of the constitution and as well possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

3. Manager Legal Services

Your duty would be to specifically be providing legal instructions and advice with regards to litigation, dispute resolution and legal compliance.

Educational Qualification: You must have a Masters and Bachelor degree in law from an approved university.

Professional Qualification: You should be an advocate of the High Court of Kenya and be in good standing with Law Society of Kenya.

Experience: You should possess most minimal ten (10) years of work experience in relevant positions including ones at managerial level.

Skills: Been proficient in computer applications is basic, attending any management course that lasted at least one (1) month is mandatory and you should be able to conduct your duties professionally.

4. County Budget Coordinator

Your duty as County Budget Coordinator would be advising Controller of Budget on effective strategies to implement and authorize county budgets.

Educational Qualification: You need to have Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration etc. to qualify for this post.

Professional Qualification: Been certified by CPAK, ACCA or CFA is mandatory.

Experience: You must have served as Fiscal analyst in a reputable organization for not less than fur (4) years. An alternative to this is possess a total of eight (8) years of relevant work experience.

Skills: Been proficient in computer applications is basic, attending any management course that lasted at least one (1) month is mandatory and you should be able to conduct your duties professionally.

OCOB Recruitment Process 2025

The Office of Controller of Budget, OCOB recruitment application is done offline through submission of necessary documents.

Get started by writing a cover letter indicating your preferred position, add to that an up-to-date CV, a copy of your National ID card, KRA tax compliance certificate, Certificate of good conduct from Directorate of Criminal investigation (DCI), then HELB and EACC clearance certificates etc.
