General Requirements for KenGen Recruitment 2025

1. General Manager, Commercial Services

• Candidates aiming for this role must have a Masters and Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics Law, Physical Science, Environmental Science etc.
• Nothing less than 15 years of experience is required and he or she must have worked as a Senior Manager for at least five (5).
• Attending a leadership course of not less than four (4) weeks is mandatory.
• Been a registered and active member of relevant professional body is a plus.
• Candidates must also meet the requirements of chapter six (6) of the constitution.

2. General Manager, Supply Chain

• Applicant of this position must be a member of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) or Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM).
• Candidate must have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in either Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Economics, Procurement etc.
• Candidate must have clearance certificates from relevant bodies as specified in chapter six (6) of the constitution.

3. Manager, Internal Audit

• Persons interest in this vacancy must have both Bachelor and Master’s degree in either Finance, Accounting, Engineering etc. from an approved institution.
• Applicant must be a certified Public Accountant (CPA (K) or ACCA/CISA etc.
• Candidate must have nothing less than twelve (12) years experience.
• Must have attended a leadership course of at least four (4) years.
• Must be in terms with Chapter six (6) of the constitution.
• Applicant must be a computer literate.

4. Legal Officer

• Applicants of this position must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Law from an approved institution.
• A Post Graduate Diploma in Law from Kenya School of Law is required.
• Candidate must currently be an advocate of the High Court of Kenya with valid practicing certificate.
• Must be a registered and active member of Law Society of Kenya.
• At least one (1) year experience is needed.
• Candidate must be proficient with relevant computer packages. Those with Certified Public Secretary (K) have an added advantage.
