Requirements for Kenya Police Recruitment 2025/2026

1) Inspector General – KPS

• Prospective applicants are expected to be Kenyan citizen.
• Must have a degree in relevant academic discipline from a recognized university in Kenya.
• Must understand and meet the requirements of chapter six (6) of the Constitution.
• He or she must have served in the Police Service for a minimum of 15 years.
• Candidates applying for this role must be knowledgeable in Criminal Justice, Policy Development and Implementation, Finance and Public Administration, Strategic management, security, law, sociology and Government.
• Finally, applicant may have served as a Assistant Inspector General (AIG).

2) Deputy Inspector General – Administration Police Service

• Persons interested must have a Bachelor’s degree from an approved university.
• Qualifications equivalent to Bachelor’s degree are welcome
• Candidate must met in compliance with Chapter 6 of the Constitution.
• A mandatory service in the force for at least 15 years is required.
• Experience in Criminal justice, Security, Law, Sociology etc. is mandatory.
• Serving in the police force as AIG is an added advantage.
