Capital Markets Authority Announce 8 Vacancies

Kenya Capital Markets Authority announced 8 vacancies on Tuesday, 11th February 2025 via the official recruitment portal www.cma.or.ke/careers. This includes the position of Manager Enforcement, Senior Financial Analyst, Senior Compliance Officer, Senior Manager Approvals, Analysis and Issuer Governance, Senior Corporate Communications Officer, Senior Manager ICT, Senior Accountant, and Director Corporate Services etc.

Understand that this must be done on or before Tuesday, 25th February, 2025. After which the management shall review submitted applications and shortlist names of successful candidates.

Thereafter, shortlisted candidates shall provide Certificate of Good Conduct from Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Ethics and Anti-corruption Clearance Certificate (EACC), Higher Education Loan Board (HELB), Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) and Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) etc.

Job Description and Qualifications

1. Manager Enforcement

    As the manager enforcement, you shall be responsible for orchestrating, outlining and executing enforcement programs, oversee and as well represent the authority in court hearings.

    Key requirements for this position includes; a degree in Law and Master’s in any relevant field. Must be an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a registered member of Law Society of Kenya, must have at least 6 years experience and meet requirements of chapter six (6) of the constitution.

    2. Senior Financial Analyst

      Fundamentally, the Senior Financial analyst shall be the one to oversee and interpret financial statements ensuring that entities follows the appropriate financial laws and regulations to protect investors.

      Qualifying for this position demands that you have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and other professional qualifications like CPA, ACCA, CIFA or CFA etc.

      3. Senior Compliance Officer

        By occupying this role, you will provide direction and recommendations to market intermediaries on how to remain compliance with best regulatory practices.

        A degree in law or business, professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CISI etc. and at least four (4) years experience are pivotal to this role.

        4. Senior Manager Approvals Analysis and Issuer Governance

          As the Senior Manager approvals, you will be ensuring proper licensing of market intermediaries, accreditation of institutions to ensure they stay in compliance with Capital Markets Regulatory Framework.

          Applicants of this position must be experienced in managerial positions for at least three (3) years, possess first degree in finance or law and masters in any relevant discipline.

          5. Senior Corporate Communications Officer

            This officer shall be strictly responsible for coming up with plans that will place CMA brand in an equivalent position among internal and external audiences. To qualify for this role, applicant must have a degree in communications, journalism or Public relations and at least 4 years experience.
